Haley Taylor Schlitz will host the new online news and talk show, Zooming In w/ Gen Z, starting April 10, 2021. This bi-weekly online show is powered by Citizen Ed. The show will focus on the education and life experiences of diverse Generation Z students across our nation.
"I am honored that Citizen Ed found this idea worthy of support and I appreciate their willingness to help engage Generation Z about our education journeys. I look forward to engaging my peers in discussions about their unique education journey and how they have interacted with our education system" said show creator and host Haley Taylor Schlitz.
The debut guest is Alena Wicker. Alena is 12 years old and recently graduated from high school. She will be starting her undergraduate education at Arizona State University where she will be double majoring in astronomical and planetary science and chemistry. Her goal is to eventually work for NASA and to develop the next generation of space rovers.
"I am so excited to have Alena as my debut guest for Zooming In w/ Gen Z. Her journey captures the true spirit of Black Girl Magic and I am excited to hear about her experiences accelerating through and graduating from high school at the age of 12. Her story is so powerful and can inspire an entire generation of students, especially girls, to see ourselves for our full potential" said Taylor Schlitz.
Haley Taylor Schlitz is 18 year old second year law student at SMU Dedman School of Law and the reigning Miss Tarrant County Outstanding Teen. Citizen Ed is a platform of brightbeam, a network of education activists demanding a better education and a brighter future for every child.
