Haley Taylor Schlitz will be serving as the keynote speaker for the opening conversation of The State of Black Learning UnConference this March 19, 2020 taking place at the University of Pittsburgh.
"I am honored to be able to join this important discussion on the challenges Black boys and girls face in our current education system. Everyday there are stories about new reports and research papers being published that demonstrate the real problems Black students face in our schools. From disproportionate discipline rates to the lack of access to advanced placement and gifted programs, the problems are real and we must start acting on solutions. The State of Black Learning events are key to fostering these discussions and moving towards solutions" said Ms. Taylor Schlitz.
