“With hard work and practice, you can achieve your goals. The greatest barriers are those we put in front of ourselves.”
These are the wise words of 15-year-old Texas Woman's University student Haley Taylor Schlitz.
After graduating high school at the age of 14, Taylor Schlitz, who is from Keller, Texas, attended Tarrant County College (TCC). Upon completing her freshman year at TCC, she applied to and was accepted by 17 universities. TWU was her top choice, she says, because the campus is welcoming and supportive, and she found it empowering the university is 87 percent female.
